The believer in Christ and Sorcery (voodoo ,jazz ,juju)

Pastor Onayinka Olusegun teaches The believer in Christ and Sorcery (voodoo ,jazz ,juju) Scriptures were written for teaching and explanation 2 Timothy 3:15-16 KJV [15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: The focal point of all Old Testament writings is salvation through faith in Christ . This is what is taught and explained . Romans 15:4 KJV [4] For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. When we read its stories ,it gives us what to expect and look out for in Christ . The writer of Hebrews was more succinct Hebrews 11:3 KJV [3] Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so th

GRACE HAS NO BALANCE

Pastor Samuel Duyilemi says "No Balance The law is a mindset... And Grace is a mindset too... The most irritating thing about some believers of these days is trying to get a balance between the law and Grace... And then be terming it as truth... There can never be a balance between self effort and divine power... Many have only not understood how this divine power works, and so they doubt its workings in the life of those who claims that it works in them... See God doesn't want you to put the new wine of Grace in the old wine-skin of the law, in the name of trying to get a balance... Jesus was a first Class law teacher, and taught the law in plain terms, but Grace, he only taught it with parables, why? So that seeing they might not see... And hearing they might not hear... Arrggg!!! You see Bro, you say Grace saved us, but law disciplines us to not keep sinning...(If I quoted you rightly) That's funny... We are indeed saved by grace... That

JUST READ!

Dear minister of the Gospel of Christ (I can't title this, decide what title it is, but please READ carefully and patiently) Acts 28:3-4 KJV [3] And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. [4] And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. There are several times ministers of the word are so badly branded by men ,based on certain experiences they have or have had and mostly via wrong perception . Here paul was deemed to be suffering for not being of God . Ministry comes with its warts and farts . We are dealing with men Many times not on ordinary terms Ephesians 2:2 KJV [2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now wor

Right and wrong thinking 3

Pastor Onayinka Olusegun teaches "Wrong thinking produces wrong believing Job typified this in his words Job 2:10 KJV [10] But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. Just like many Old Testament folks ,he knew next to nothing about the devil . He spoke presumptuously . Job 42:4 You ask how I dare question your wisdom when I am so very ignorant. I talked about things I did not understand, about marvels too great for me to know. 5: In the past I knew only what others had told me, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.( NLT) Job had lived in presumption Job 1:5 KJV [5] And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my so

What the Apostles preached (GRACE or LAW)

They preached radically in Jerusalem. Threats and accusations from men could not stop them. One day, they taught a multitude at Solomon's Porch. The religious mafia got mad, seized them and put them in prison. But at night, an angel of God set them free. A rational man would go into hiding to avoid further harassment, yeah? Not these folks! They WENT BACK to the Temple and CONTINUED teaching! What kind of Gospel do you think these guys believed? Definitely not what we hear in most Churches today! "Do good, get good" couldn't have produced such fervency, only the Gospel of the Grace of God could! Josh Bank https://www.facebook.com/bankyu.samuel

TIMELY COUNSEL TO YOUNG MINISTERS

Of Saul of Tarsus and Apollos... and others (timely counsel to younger minister Scriptures are replete with several prototypes. As the Word begins to grow and have influence in places these prototypes appear We have the Simon magus Acts 8:18-19 KJV [18] And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 19] Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. Before they saw the light, they had certain queer materialistic doctrines, they believe in sowing to get. Born again, in the midst of word people but not a pure breed. 1 Timothy 6:5 KJV [5] Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. He is a sower for prosperity not a giver to meet needs of others. May their tribe never increase further, Amen. Then we have Saul of Tarsus... At salvation, he's so zealous .

BIBLICAL INTERPRETATIONS

Pastor Onayinka Olusegun said In a few years of teaching in bible schools and schools for ministry ,I have observed some consistent and notorious characteristics of modern day bible interpretation . Some of which include 1)Looking for "hidden" meanings for bible verses that have very CLEAR grammatical meanings. A cow is an animal.Same as scripture! 2)Ignoring tenses expressly stated. E.G delivered means it has happened. thus can't be a prayer point .saved means it or he or they will not need salvation . Blessed means he or she or they have the blessings already. As simple as this sounds,it's a major albatross of many doctrines today 3)Overruling truth on the basis of our experiences . This is a constantly raging bull in the china shop. Truth is true. The Word is truth. It means other facts exist but It is what we must affirm and stand with . E.G Some question believing the gospel by putting faith in the blood of Christ alone apart fro

PREACHING GOOD WORKS

Favour Adeyemi Aderinto said "This is one of the right ways to preach GOOD WORKS, written by my good friend and brother Henry Brew-Daniels . Not by threat or condemnation. Read and be blessed: All the resources you will ever need to manifest Christ, as a child of God have been supplied to you by God. To talk and act like Christ. The resources are at your beck and call, at your disposal. Take advantage of these divine resources. You have the Holy Spirit, you have the Word, and you can fellowship with the Father in prayer. You are loaded with divinity. "

Right and wrong thinking (EYE OPENER)

(Putting sickness in Pauls gospel ) Wrong thinking produces wrong believing and this results into wrong experiences.. Job suffered this fate. He later found out Job 42:5 KJV [5] I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. He had lived on assumption . A Different translation puts it clearer . Vs5 In the past I knew only what others had told me, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. ( good news ) Many of us can be like that James warns us of seeing God in a light of presumption or assumption James 1:13,16-17 KJV [13] Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 16] Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17] Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. The believer has a responsibility to be filled with knowledge . That's why any local church

Right and Wrong Thinking {VERY CLEAR}

Our Thorn in Paul’s Flesh... Nothing embarrasses a believer like ignorance. Scriptures are replete with admonitions not to be ignorant. The first activity of the devil was to deceive; you only deceive ignorant men. 1 Timothy 2:14 KJV the woman being deceived was in the transgression. This was in The Genesis account of man’s sin Genesis 3:1,3 KJV [1] Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 3] But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. God never said " don't touch it ", that's Eve's " rhema ". People often call misinterpretation of scriptures their own " rhema " Jesus says satan takes away the word sown in our hearts when we lack understanding Matthew 13:19 KJV [19] When any one
Grace or lawlessness Nothing paints a message in the wrong light than those who rather than teach what they have been taught seek to sound different ,unique or worst still give it their own adumbration and interpretation Peter noted how this happened to the Pauline revelation 2 Peter 3:16 KJV [16] As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Unruly and unstable men ,usually won't be found in a local church to submit to accountability and training . Paul instructs Timothy in this regard 2 Timothy 2:2 KJV [2] And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Same message ,commit to faithful men,in the local church . I recently encountered a wannabe emergency grace preacher . Who ques
It's always funny when people say we ought not to forbid any activity in church meetings since we can do them in our homes. (Never mind that they don't take such suggestions to their schools and workplaces). So, we sleep in our houses too. Can't we just have a sleeping seminar? Where we all come to sleep? Wait upon the Lord for dreams or night visions? After all, He gives His beloved sleep. We play video games at home? Would it be bad to have a Video Games Sunday where we glo rify Jesus in a mortal kombat way? I'm tempted to cite an example of something else we do outside church, but I repent. There are lots of things we do AS THE CHURCH, in our homes and that's fine. We're still the church when we close meetings. So it just means, when we scatter as a church, in our individual homes we can do all those secular and social activities freely. (Some folks get drunk on movies and sports literally). But when we gather, we know why we gather, right?

Women in Ministry???

Question and answers on women in ministry Q- Does scriptures allow Women lead men in the churches A- why do you say so,which scriptures suggest otherwise .. Q-1 Corinthians 14:34-35 KJV [34] Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35] And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. Seem to say so A- if u consider well ALL such texts on women and men and submission ,they are all marital instructions not concerning leadership in church Ephesians 5:22 KJV [22] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Colossians 3:18 KJV [18] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 1 Timothy 2:11-15 KJV [11] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. [12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the
