Light is the representation of
Gods personality, it symbolizes the way God
operates and what He is capable of.
You will agree with me that light
represents good things such as righteousness, good health, wealth, eternal life
and every good thing possible, hence James 1:18 describes God as the father of
light with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning
1 John 1:5b God is light, and in him is no darkness
at all.
Darkness on the other hand is an
attribute of the devil and its works and attributes. Darkness is the absence of
light and in the absence of light, there is sickness, pains, diseases, sorrows
and every evil occurrence.
The Children of men were by all
means in darkness, but God however in His infinite mercies translated
us from the kingdom of light into the kingdom of His dear Son by virtue of
Jesus' death, meaning that when you received Christ into your life, you've been translated into light like God
Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of
darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Hallelujah, He has made us
partakers of the heavenly calling and made us to be partakers of the saints in
light, hence as children of light, we ought to shine amidst the darkness of this world.
Rather than making religious
difference, We the Children of light ought to make a Godly difference in our
endeavours, like topping the class, making manifest the righteousness of God,
healing the sick raising the dead and also helping those in the kingdom of
darkness come to the light of God because that is our commission on earth.
You as a child of light should
stop living your life as child a of darkness but rather exhibit the light of
God to the world.
Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city
that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
5:15 Neither do men light a
candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light
unto all that are in the house.
5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that
they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
LIGHTS ARE ESPECIALLY MEANT TO
SHINE IN DARKNESS, DO YOU ALLOW YOURS?
